Mariënwaerdt is situated in a genuine river area. If you enjoy taking a walk or a bicycle ride, you are at the right place to enjoy the beautiful scenery and splendid views.

Four routes have been set out on the estate that vary in distance. For a nice walk along old trees and beautiful views. What about walking past the historic buildings on the estate or enjoying the Linge river forelands walking through the fields on which you can find a former windmill.

There are also several routes, recognized by the ANWB, the Dutch automobile club, and the LAW, a Dutch platform for hikers, that cross the estate and allow you to see ‘De Betuwe’ at its best, particularly during the spring and autumn season, when the fruit trees are in bloom. From the dikes and the river forelands the view over the rivers is often splendid. The various villages that are situated along these trails, like Leerdam, Beesd, Geldermalsen, Tiel, Kesteren and Opheusden, are also within easy reach of the train.

Maps and accessibility
Maps are available in the Country shop. This is also where you can find our Tourist Information Centre where you can obtain detailed information on places of interest in the region. There is a large parking area, conveniently close to the motorway A2, at the centre of the estate. Children will find plenty of entertainment here to keep them occupied.
